Credit growth outpaced GDP growth in these Asia Pacific economies

Credit to the nonfinancial corporate sectors increased sharply since 2005.

According to Standard & Poor's, risen indebtedness is one key risk in Asia-Pacific. Credit to the nonfinancial corporate and household sectors in key regional economies in Asia-Pacific has increased sharply since 2005.

As a share of GDP, it is now significantly higher in Australia, China, Hong Kong, Korea, Singapore, and Vietnam.
